Metrology 4.0, which refers to the integration of digital technologies, automation and Industry 4.0 concepts into industries’ measurement and control processes, has an important role to play in these changes. It modernizes traditional metrology practices by using advanced technological solutions to improve measurement efficiency, accuracy, and traceability.

At Control, senswork is presenting ZScan Easy, a new system for inline 3D measurement of battery modules using four area scanners from the manufacturer Photoneo, which measures complete battery modules three-dimensionally in just a few seconds and transfers the results directly to production.

Numerous Fraunhofer institutes research and develop in the field of image processing and optical or acoustic testing for quality assurance. At the Control 2024 exhibit, which is coordinated by the Fraunhofer Vision Business Unit, current new developments from various fields will be on display.
