In-Line AM QUALITY Solution Delivers 360° Quality Assessments In 5 Seconds

AM-QUALITY is the world’s first in-line quality control solution, which delivers complete 360° quality assessments in just 5 seconds. Powered by eight high-speed 3D Laser Line Profile CMMs, this system generates precise 3D scans, comparing them to digital files (STL, STEP, CAD) to perform detailed evaluations.

AM-QUALITY sets the standard for automated in-line quality control, tailored for both traditional and additive manufacturing. Designed for environments demanding precision, this system offers unmatched speed, accuracy, and flexibility. Built to achieve 50 μm accuracy, AM-QUALITY delivers comprehensive scans, detecting minute details and issues such as breakage, warping, and surface defects. This early detection system ensures timely corrections, safeguarding quality during production.

AM-Flow’s patented technology adapts to any geometry, seamlessly integrating into production lines and performing OK/Not OK evaluations within a 5-second cycle time. With the option for full metrology reports, AM-QUALITY inspects up to 720 products per hour.

Leveraging advanced AI, AM Flow tackles complex vision challenges related to geometry, size, and color. LiDAR and photography track printed parts on a conveyor belt, with AI-driven Deep Neural Networks analyzing images to match parts to digital designs when confidence levels are met.

The recognition process incorporates pre-processing via a UNet-like Neural Network for foreground mapping, and classification across shape, size, and color using independent classifiers. The shape classifier, essential for geometry recognition, applies advanced methods like Self-Supervised Learning, Vision Transformer Encoding, and Transfer Learning, empowering AM-Flow with accurate shape recognition even for new designs.

AM-Flow’s adaptive AI technology eliminates the need for reprogramming, machine changeovers, or extensive training, streamlining small-series production with infinite variations.
