Call for Papers For 2025 Coordinate Metrology Society Conference

The 41st annual Coordinate Metrology Society Conference (CMSC) is set to take place from July 21st to 25th in Reno, Nevada, USA. The CMSC is now calling for technical papers and presentations that highlight the latest breakthroughs in dimensional metrology. Technicians and industry experts who have worked on unique and innovative projects that push the boundaries of scientific and industrial applications are encouraged to submit their work for consideration at CMSC 2025.

What sets the CMSC apart from other industry conferences is its exceptional lineup of cutting-edge technical sessions, which provide an in-depth look at the latest research and practical applications in industrial coordinate metrology. Accepted papers are published online for easy access, and outstanding contributions have the honor of being featured in the prestigious Journal of the CMSC.

The Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS) seeks papers and presentations that focus on 3D metrology, especially those that introduce novel approaches to data collection, analysis, and application. Submissions should be original work from metrology practitioners in both portable and stationary metrology, as well as those conducting research across all aspects of 3D metrology. Topics can include advancements in research and development, best practices, technology benchmarks, and innovative use cases that demonstrate how metrology solutions are being applied to problem-solving and process control.

Since its inception in 1984, the CMSC has featured more than 500 technical papers and presentations, building the most comprehensive collection of portable metrology knowledge. The Coordinate Metrology Society encourages submissions that drive the future of the field, with key areas of interest including precision assembly, automation in manufacturing cells, in situ measurements, defect detection, and other emerging trends that maximize the potential of 3D metrology technologies.
