Wenzel WM | Quartis R2026-2 Enhances Measurement Evaluation, Reporting and Digital Integration

WENZEL has released WM | Quartis R2026-2, the latest version of its measurement software, introducing a range of enhancements designed to improve efficiency, measurement reliability and standards compliance across industrial metrology workflows.

The update addresses multiple stages of the measurement process, from data acquisition and feature evaluation through to reporting and the integration of measurement results into wider digital quality processes.

Expanded ISO GPS Evaluation

One of the key additions in R2026-2 is a new standard-compliant evaluation of parallelism with orientation indicator, providing users with an additional option for evaluating geometric tolerances in accordance with ISO GPS principles.

The software also introduces line profile evaluation with a variable tolerance zone width, expanding the options available for assessing complex geometric requirements.

These enhancements are aimed at supporting more consistent evaluation while reducing the need for manual interpretation of measurement results.

More Robust Measurement Calculations

R2026-2 also introduces improvements to the calculation and processing of measured data. A new, more robust circle calculation is designed to handle incomplete measurement data, helping maintain reliable results when full feature acquisition is not possible.

The software now also allows users to apply spline filters during measurement, while filtering of interrupted measurement sequences has been improved. Together, these capabilities provide greater flexibility when working with real-world measurement data and potentially challenging acquisition conditions.

Improved Measurement Reporting

Reporting and data exchange have also received attention in the latest release. Users can now edit measurement reports directly within the thumbnail view, providing a more efficient way to adjust reports without leaving the measurement environment.

For organizations integrating metrology data into wider manufacturing and quality systems, R2026-2 adds the ability to export feature data into customer-specific JSON structures. This provides greater flexibility for connecting measurement results with downstream software applications and digital quality workflows.

Point Clouds and Inspection Plans

The release adds new ROI methods and advanced functions for point clouds, extracts and inspection plans, providing additional tools for processing and evaluating complex measurement data.

Further improvements have been made to CAD functionality, accessory management and 3D visualization, supporting a more streamlined workflow from measurement planning through to final evaluation.

Supporting Digital Quality Processes

The latest release reflects the increasing role of measurement software as an interface between the measuring machine and the wider digital manufacturing environment. Beyond simply calculating dimensional results, modern metrology software must increasingly provide standardized evaluation, efficient reporting and structured data that can be consumed by other quality and manufacturing systems.

With WM | Quartis R2026-2, WENZEL is addressing these requirements through a combination of enhanced ISO GPS evaluation, more robust data processing, improved reporting and expanded data-export capabilities.

The result is a measurement software environment designed to make day-to-day inspection tasks more efficient while supporting reproducible results and the integration of metrology data into digital manufacturing and quality processes.
