AI Startup LimitlessCNC Emerges From Stealth To Transform CNC Programming
AI-powered manufacturing startup LimitlessCNC recently launched out of stealth mode with a $4.1 million seed funding round led by Grove Ventures and Meron Capital. The company is pioneering AI agent technology to automate CNC machining – an essential but increasingly strained trillion-dollar industry.
LimitlessCNC aims to solve one of modern manufacturing’s most pressing challenges: the growing shortage of skilled CNC programmers. Amid global labor constraints and efforts to reshore production in critical sectors the company offers a timely solution by significantly accelerating and automating CNC programming.
Physics-Based AI for Real-World Manufacturing
At the heart of LimitlessCNC’s innovation is a physics-based AI system designed to optimize machining processes by learning from historical data and simulating the physics of metal cutting. The result is a dramatic reduction in programming time, up to 80%, without sacrificing precision, speed, or cost efficiency.
“Every machined component we use, from car engines to premium electronics, is currently made using human-written programs. There is enormous potential to streamline this process with AI,” said CEO David Priev. “Our platform brings automation to an industry that has long depended on hard-to-find human expertise.”
Traditionally, CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) systems require highly trained professionals to manually create machining instructions. However, with many of these experts nearing retirement and fewer young professionals entering the field, manufacturers are facing an urgent skills gap. LimitlessCNC addresses this by integrating seamlessly with existing CAM software, minimizing the need for retraining and ensuring fast implementation on the shop floor.
Born From Necessity – Built For The Future
The inspiration behind LimitlessCNC stemmed from Priev’s personal experience during the early days of the Israel-Hamas war. While serving in the reserves, he was tasked with manufacturing crucial parts for frontline operations. The slow and manual nature of CNC programming during a time-sensitive mission highlighted the need for automation.
“In crisis situations, delays in manufacturing can cost lives,” Priev said. “We realized that entire production lines rely on legacy knowledge that’s disappearing. LimitlessCNC is our answer to that urgent problem.”
Early Traction and Future Plans
Despite being in its early stages, LimitlessCNC’s technology has already been deployed by a Tier-1 Western manufacturer with over 250 CNC machines. The implementation has delivered measurable improvements in programming efficiency and delivery timelines.
“AI is now stepping out of the digital realm and into the physical world of manufacturing,” said Lior Handelsman, General Partner at Grove Ventures. “LimitlessCNC is pioneering this shift, offering a competitive edge to factories facing economic and geopolitical headwinds.”
The company currently has a team of 15 and plans to expand R&D and commercial efforts globally. Target industries include automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, defense, and medical devices.
“AI-driven manufacturing is no longer just a vision—it’s a strategic imperative,” said Priev. “LimitlessCNC empowers manufacturers to thrive in an increasingly complex and competitive world.”
