The VISOR XE works four times faster than previous models. This significant increase in performance is made possible by the efficient use of several processor cores. For example, the VISOR Code Reader vision sensor achieves a code reading speed of less than 40 milliseconds, even at a high resolution of 5 MP.
XE-tra Easy
Another highlight is the reduced and simplified installation effort of the VISOR XE. An additional LAN interface allows several vision sensors to be efficiently connected to one another. For example, when using several cameras on a robot gripper, only one cable is required to control the robot.
In addition, the new XE series can be set up and operated using the tried-and-tested VISOR software. Configurations created for previous VISOR models can therefore continue to be used in the VISOR XE. The setup procedure remains the same as for previous VISOR models, and the interface protocols to the PLC can also continue to be used.
The new vision sensor features the proven housing design of the VISOR family, but differs from the other models due to its striking red housing section.

In the area of AI algorithms, the new XE series offers a classification speed that is eight times faster. Thanks to the processor with integrated hardware acceleration for deep learning algorithms, users are optimally equipped for current and future challenges in image processing. This is particularly advantageous when quickly recognizing many small details in large fields of view.
