Neadvance Machine Vision Joins Atlas Copco Group To Strengthen Automation Capabilities

Atlas Copco Group has expanded its portfolio in industrial automation with the acquisition of Neadvance Machine Vision, S.A. (Neadvance), a Portuguese company specializing in software solutions for quality control and integrated vision systems. This strategic move enhances Atlas Copco’s capabilities in smart, automated manufacturing processes.

Headquartered in Portugal, Neadvance provides advanced machine vision technology that helps automate production lines across various industries. Its innovative solutions improve quality control, precision, and efficiency in manufacturing environments. With a team of 41 skilled employees, Neadvance brings expertise that will now be integrated into Atlas Copco Group as part of the acquisition.

“With this acquisition, we are accelerating our capability for smart integrated assembly,” said Henrik Elmin, Business Area President of Industrial Technique at Atlas Copco. “Neadvance’s expertise in machine vision technology complements our vision for the future of industrial automation.”

While the financial details of the acquisition remain undisclosed, Neadvance reported revenues of approximately €2.5 million (28.6 MSEK) in 2023.

Following the acquisition, Neadvance will become part of the Chicago Pneumatic Tools division, operating under the Industrial Technique Business Area within Atlas Copco. This addition strengthens Atlas Copco’s position in delivering intelligent automation solutions to the manufacturing sector worldwide.
