Hexagon Partners with ZeroTouch to Advance High-Speed, Non-Contact Gauging Across Europe
ZeroTouch, a Sandvik company, has announced a strategic partnership with Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence to expand its advanced non-contact gauging technology across Germany, Switzerland, and France. The collaboration aims to accelerate adoption of fully automated, metrology-assisted manufacturing solutions in precision industries.
Amid rising demand for 100% inspection in high-volume, safety-critical sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and medical devices, ZeroTouch delivers high-speed, in-line measurement systems that support real-time process feedback. The platform is designed to minimize scrap, shorten cycle times, and drive faster process maturity—enabling manufacturers to improve quality control without compromising throughput.
Introduced in 2022, ZeroTouch’s laser-based 3D scanning system generates dense point cloud data for feature-rich measurement of mission-critical parts. Its robust, turnkey inspection cells offer micron-level accuracy in seconds and integrate seamlessly with data management and SPC tools for closed-loop control.
“ZeroTouch empowers manufacturers to operate smarter, faster, and more sustainably,” said Zvonimir Kotnik, President of ZeroTouch. “Our platform is built to reduce deployment time, lower operational costs, and provide full 3D traceability. Partnering with Hexagon allows us to deliver these capabilities to a broader European customer base, helping them achieve digital transformation goals with confidence.”
Through the partnership, Hexagon will incorporate ZeroTouch into its metrology solutions portfolio, targeting industries where 100% inspection has traditionally been constrained by cycle time and complexity. Initial applications will focus on components such as brake discs, electric motors, orthopaedic implants, and luxury watch parts.
“ZeroTouch is a game-changer,” said Stephen Chadwick, EMEA President at Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division. “Its high-speed, fully automated system enables real-time inspection anywhere along the production line in less than 30 seconds. That’s a powerful advantage in today’s manufacturing environments, where quality must move at the speed of production.”
The agreement underscores both companies’ commitment to delivering actionable data, accelerating process stability, and making advanced metrology more accessible in factories where expertise is in short supply but demand for precision is high.
