Enhanced Features In Visometry’s Twyn 2.3 Provides More Precise and Intuitive Quality Control

Twyn, Visometry’s software for visual quality inspection, empowers manufacturers to verify the quality of components in real time, right on the production floor, using only a tablet. With the latest release, version 2.3, the leading provider of augmented reality solutions introduces a range of new features designed to boost efficiency and usability.

Twyn enables quality assurance teams to quickly and accurately identify deviations in welds and other complex assemblies directly at the production line. Leveraging computer vision and automatic object registration, the solution enables precise inspections by directly comparing physical components with their digital twin and CAD specifications to ensure the conformity of all elements. The tool refines manufacturing and assembly processes, drastically cutting down on rework and transport costs.

With Twyn 2.3, Visometry has integrated several enhancements to make the mobile inspection system even more efficient and intuitive. The team has significantly improved tracking stability in challenging scenarios, such as inspecting large components that are only partially visible in the camera frame.

Integration of iPad’s SLAM-Based Sensor Technology

The streamlined integration of the iPad’s SLAM-based sensor technology ensures a more stable CAD model overlay, enabling reliable tracking even while moving around objects or inspecting areas with low visual structure or few distinguishing features. This makes the interactive comparison between CAD data and their physical counterpart simpler than ever.

To ensure no detail is overlooked during inspections, Twyn View now offers high-quality CAD rendering with enhanced edge visualization, making even the smallest details, such as construction lines, clearly visible. Visometry has also streamlined the setup of inspection projects. A new feature automatically generates inspection points and allows users to group them into inspection views, significantly accelerating the setup and execution of quality checks.

“Our growing base of satisfied Twyn customers continues to inspire us with valuable feedback, driving the evolution of our tools,” says Harald Wuest, CEO of Visometry. “That’s why with Twyn 2.3, we’re thrilled to deliver a version that’s more in tune than ever with the real-world needs of our users.”
