Leading manufacturer of 3D sensors for quality inspection and metrology, SmartRay, has launched a new 3D sensor within its popular inspection series, to provide customers with the latest cutting-edge technology.
Following the success of the ECCO 65 and 75 models, SmartRay continues to support customers with the new ECCO 85+ range. Their best price-performance sensor to date within its category, the 85+ is economic and compact, bringing superior 3D image quality for reliable inspection and measurement. The sensor is placed within industrial compact housing promising stability and flexibility for machine and robot integration.
The launch follows confirmation that the ECCO 65 and 75 series will no longer be applicable for new applications.
The ECCO 85+ delivers an entry-level 3D sensor for applications where price and resolution are vital, for measurement and inspection tasks at up to 5 kHz scan rate. It balances cost and performance to provide 3D laser scanning for customers where previously 3D laser scanning was not a commercially viable solution. The compact industrial housing provides the sensor stability and flexibility for machine and robot integration.
Clare Rathsack, Business Unit Manager – ECCO Sensors, SmartRay, said: “As part of our ongoing commitment to providing customers with the best user experience, we will continue to work with all existing ECCO 65 and 75 customers to ensure their applications operate with the latest cutting-edge technology. We are confident the ECCO 85+ can provide the best alternative.”
