New OptimScan Q12 Delivers Fast, Flexible, and Accurate 3D Inspection
SHINING 3D has introduced the OptimScan Q12, a new high-precision 3D scanner designed to meet increasing demands for fast, accurate, and automated inspection across manufacturing and quality control applications. The OptimScan Q12 is equipped with four 12.3-megapixel cameras, enabling the capture of fine surface details with an accuracy of up to 0.005 mm. Transitions between scan ranges are automatic, with no manual adjustments required, and data is merged through integrated software for a unified output.
Monocular-Stereo Fusion Technology
To improve performance on complex geometries, the system features Monocular-Stereo Fusion (MSF) technology, which enhances scan coverage on intricate edges and corners. A dual-chip computing module enables rapid data processing, capturing up to 12 million points in under a second. The scanner also includes multiple exposure modes, allowing it to adapt to challenging surface materials, such as reflective or dark finishes.
Designed for integration into a variety of workflows, the OptimScan Q12 supports handheld scanning, semi-automated setups using turntables, and full robotic automation. It is compatible with existing 3D inspection platforms, facilitating end-to-end workflows from data acquisition to quality reporting.
