Control 2025 Points Toward a Smarter QA Future

The global quality assurance community is gearing up for one of the industry’s most important events: the 37th edition of Control – International Trade Fair for Quality Assurance, returning to its traditional venue at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre from May 6 to 9, 2025.

Spanning four exhibition halls (3, 5, 7, and 9), Control 2025 promises a comprehensive showcase of state-of-the-art metrology and inspection technologies. Attendees can expect innovations in vision systems, image processing, sensor technologies, and the latest advancements in measurement and testing software, all presented with cross-industry relevance.

A major theme this year is artificial intelligence (AI) – now a driving force in Quality Assurance. Reflecting this trend, the event will debut a new expert panel format: Control Quality Talks. The inaugural session, titled “AI in QA – Will the Future be Free of Defects? AI as Turbocharger for Profitability and Efficiency,” will explore real-world AI applications in industrial quality control.

Also drawing attention will be the long-running Fraunhofer “Contactless Measuring Technology” Special Show, now in its 19th year. Curated by the Fraunhofer Vision business unit, the exhibit will highlight the latest in non-contact inspection systems, applications, and innovations.

Kicking off the event, Professor Dr. Daniel Carl of the Fraunhofer Institute for Physical Measurement Techniques (IPM) will deliver a keynote on the theme “Generating Added Value with Measuring Technology.” His address will emphasize the critical role of intelligent QA in achieving defect-free, resource-efficient production – a central goal for smart manufacturing.

Control 2025 is poised to underline the increasing value of seamless, automated, and intelligent QA systems in delivering reliable, sustainable manufacturing outcomes.
