Verisurf Increases Support to Aid Customers Realize Metrology Solutions

Verisurf Software has announced that it has appointed Michael Weidler to the position of Sales Engineer in the USA Midwest Region. Michael will work closely with the existing regional sales and support team to best serve customers’ inspection and measurement needs.

Michael joined Verisurf in June of 2022, bringing with him shop floor manufacturing experience, hands-on knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and materials sourcing and component testing. He has become proficient in Verisurf Software and the many measurement devices available to solve customer metrology challenges.  For the past 16 months, Michael has been involved in improving internal processes at Verisurf and has trained customers, coworkers, and hardware partners on the benefits of Model-Based Definition (MBD) using Verisurf Software. Michael holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Mathematics from Missouri University of Science & Technology.

“Verisurf continues to experience steady sales growth among job shops and OEM manufacturers. Customers need smart metrology solutions that fit into their workflow and provide the data they need to be compliant and efficient.  Michael moves into his new role as Sales Engineer for the Midwest, uniquely qualified and fully versed in Verisurf metrology solutions. I am extremely pleased to have him on our team and that he can provide immediate customer value,” said Pat Bass, Director of Sales for Verisurf.

Verisurf is the only metrology software built on a full-featured 3D CAD/CAM platform with intelligent Model-Based Definition (MBD). This ensures data integrity and lets users perform metrology workflows in a seamless CAD environment while maintaining model-based digital continuity. Verisurf software supports all CAD file formats, and the Verisurf Device Interface (VDI), with virtual CMM display, communicates with and operates all programmable and portable CMMs for universal compatibility.

The software’s modular design, ease of CMM programming, and built-in productivity tools let users quickly create measurement routines using efficient and repeatable workflows for quality process control. With Verisurf’s open platform compatibility, a single measurement routine can be run across virtually any CMM, including portable arms, fixed CNC CMMs, scanners, trackers, and more. The software’s modular applications allow users to quickly shift from inspection to reverse engineering to tool building, efficiently capturing and processing measurement data.
