Deva Electronic Controls Announces Native CNC Integration with PolyWorks|Inspector
Deva Electronic Controls has announced the native integration of its CMM controller technology with PolyWorks|Inspector 2026, enabling direct touch-probe CNC control in the PolyWorks metrology process.
Building on years of successful collaboration on manual CMM solutions, this development represents a natural progression toward fully automated inspection for touch-probe applications. The integration combines Deva’s high-performance CMM control with PolyWorks|Inspector, InnovMetric’s universal metrology software platform, empowering users with advanced tools to create and execute robust measurement sequences.
Transformative Performance Gains for CMM Users
- Direct CNC touch-probe control in PolyWorks|Inspector
- Faster, more reliable and consistent workflows
- Expanded capabilities for creating and managing advanced measurement sequences
- Simplified setup with reduced system complexity and operator workload
- Stable, low-latency communication enabling real-time control
Benefits for All Users
Due to this integration, Deva customers can experience the simplicity of a no-code approach to CMM programming, enabling them to create advanced measurement sequences without specialized programming skills. PolyWorks|Inspector guarantees PTB-certified algorithmic calculations while protecting CMMs with functionalities like always-on collision avoidance.
For PolyWorks users, this means gaining access to Deva’s CNC controller technology, enabling precise, repeatable touch-probe measurements and greater control over automated inspection workflows.
“Our customers have been asking for this capability, and we’re excited to deliver it. It’s also been a pleasure working with the InnovMetric team on this integration, which marks an important step towards further CNC capabilities in the future” commented Ruth Pickworth, Managing Director, Deva Electronic Controls Ltd.
“The addition of Deva’s native CNC touch‑probe control into PolyWorks|Inspector 2026 aligns with our objective of offering a universal platform that benefits CMM users worldwide. Deva’s controllers are trusted by a number of our CMM partners, and we’re thrilled to bring this capability into our portfolio to support both current and future users” stated Eric Roberge, Vice President of Product and Innovation—Metrology Platform at InnovMetric.
This integration reinforces Deva’s commitment to supporting customers with hardware that integrates efficiently into existing inspection workflows. It is compatible with CMM solutions using Deva CMM controllers. This also establishes a solid foundation for future development, with additional capabilities such as tactile and laser scanning support planned for future updates.
