The global ZEISS #measuringhero Award kicked off its new season and once again ZEISS is looking for heroes of metrology.
With the #measuringhero award, ZEISS honors the work of its customers who are ensuring the quality of industrial companies. “Day by day, our customers check the quality of their products and ensure smooth workflows and efficient production processes. We are very pleased to appreciate our customers for their responsible tasks with the ZEISS #measuringhero Award,” highlights Dr. Marc Wawerla, Head of ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions. The #measuringhero award is part of the #measuringhero initiative, which also includes the weekly YouTube vlog series with Jay Elepano and the #measuringhero community.
The award winners are selected by an international jury. The members include ZEISS experts including Metrology News Publishing Editor, Keith Mills, Dr. Markus Rochowicz, Group Manager Cleanliness Technology at Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation and Al Peasland, Head of Technical & Innovation Partnerships at Williams Racing.
Metrologists can demonstrate their skills in the following award categories:

Applications are open until July 30th, 2021. The winners of eight new categories will be invited to an individual metrology training and a Formula One experience day at Williams Racing in the UK.
Last year, hundreds of metrologists from more than forty countries worldwide applied.
The ten award winners in the seven categories were delighted to receive their award. Under the following video, the greetings of the awardees have been summarized: YouTube #measuringhero.
As the official award ceremony had to be postponed due to the pandemic-related travel restrictions, the 2020 awardees will be invited to the UK together with the winners of this year’s #measuringhero Award.
