Renishaw to Showcase Advanced Robot Performance and Measurement Solutions at Automate 2026

Renishaw will present its latest technologies for enhancing robot accuracy and manufacturing efficiency at Automate 2026, taking place June 22–25 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Exhibiting at booth #3853 (South Building), the company will demonstrate a portfolio of solutions aimed at improving robotic performance, reducing unplanned downtime, and strengthening process control in automated production environments.

A highlight of the stand will be the U.S. debut of Renishaw’s Robot Calibration System (RCS) demonstration cell. Live demonstrations will showcase cell recovery and in-field robot calibration, enabling manufacturers to restore robot accuracy quickly following collisions or process interruptions. These capabilities are designed to minimise downtime and support more resilient production workflows.

Renishaw will also feature its Equator-X dual-method gauging system, designed for high-throughput manufacturing. Supporting both absolute and comparative measurement, the system enables flexible inspection strategies while maintaining tight process control as production requirements evolve.

In addition, the company will present its range of position and motion control encoders, which provide the precise feedback essential for optimising robotic systems. By delivering accurate position data at each joint, these encoders support smooth motion control and consistent repeatability across a wide range of applications.

The portfolio addresses diverse robotic requirements, from large articulated joints, such as shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees, to compact, space-constrained assemblies and lightweight end-effectors. Solutions including dual concentric absolute encoders, flexible high-speed encoders, and ultra-compact designs enable direct, high-precision feedback while reducing system complexity and easing integration challenges.

These technologies are designed to meet the demands of modern robotics, including industrial automation, collaborative robots, and advanced dexterous systems. Their non-contact architectures and high-speed performance make them well suited to environments where reliability and precision are critical.

“Automate provides an important platform to demonstrate how Renishaw technologies help manufacturers maximise the performance of their robotic systems,” said Dan Skulan, General Manager at Renishaw Inc. “From calibration and recovery to precision measurement and motion control, our focus is on improving uptime, accuracy, and overall process confidence.”
