IrisX Turns Engineering Drawings into Structured Quality Data
Analysis Express has introduced IrisX, engineering drawing intelligence software that converts information contained in CAD drawings, PDFs and scans into structured data for quality, manufacturing and engineering workflows.
IrisX can process a single drawing or batches of multiple drawings, automatically extracting dimensions, tolerances and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) so users spend less time locating and re-entering drawing information.
IrisX identifies and balloons drawing characteristics and converts the results into data that can be exported to Excel, PDF and XML or used in first article inspection (FAI), AS9102, PPAP and other reporting workflows. The software is designed to work alongside existing engineering and quality systems rather than requiring a replacement of current tools.
For revision review, IrisX compares drawing versions and identifies added, changed, deleted and unchanged callouts. This gives users a direct view of what changed between revisions instead of requiring a full manual review of every drawing.
IrisX also supports released PDFs, scanned drawings and legacy files. Built-in GD&T grammar logic helps validate callouts, while the adaptive model can be trained to a company’s drawing environment and standards. The result is drawing data that can be captured once and reused across quality, manufacturing and engineering analysis.
