Brunson Issues Pink SMR Target Holders to Raise Breast Cancer Awareness
Worldwide, breast cancer caused 685,000 deaths in 2020. In the United States, 2023 is likely to see approximately 300,000 new cases, and estimates indicate 44,000 women will die from breast cancer in the U.S this year. In half the cases across the globe, women diagnosed with breast cancer had zero identifiable risk factors for this disease.
Early diagnosis, increased awareness and more effective treatments have driven an overall decline of 43% in breast cancer deaths since 1989. Around the globe, research into the causes of breast cancer continues diligently.
However, research, awareness and diagnostic processes take resources. Inspired by its metrology customers, Brunson Instrument Company is making a significant financial contribution to the U.S. National Breast Cancer Foundation this October for Breast Cancer Awareness month. The company invites our partners in metrology to join us in supporting Breast Cancer Awareness through their nation’s breast cancer philanthropies.
“We wanted to make it easier for our customers to donate to this important cause during the month of October,” said Mark Meuret, Vice President of Operations at Brunson. “And we have researched and published links to 14 different regional and national breast cancer support organizations on our website,” he added.
In addition, Brunson Instrument Company has created commemorative pink SMR target holders to honor Breast Cancer awareness and treatment. Etched with the internationally recognized ribbon symbol for breast cancer awareness, support and empowerment, the pink target holders will be distributed gratis with each Brunson Target Holder order placed during the month of October, while supplies last.
Both functional and a keepsake, the pink 1.5THDN target holders meet the company’s rigorous specifications and may be used in metrology applications.
