Waygate Technologies To Host Global X-ray & CT Forum For Non-Destructive Testing

Waygate Technologies, a world leader in non-destructive testing (NDT) solutions for industrial inspection, will hold its 19th Global X-ray & CT Forum in Hamburg and Ahrensburg, Germany, on 10-12 September 2024. The forum is an international and interdisciplinary industry meeting for X-ray and CT operators in the field of analysis and measurement technology from all over the world.

Addressing operators, customers or potential new customers, the conference section of the event will focus on technological innovations and application examples by Waygate Technologies customers. In practical sessions, Waygate Technologies and other partners will present the latest instruments and inspection methods as part of a factory tour.

“Our Global X-ray & CT Forum is a popular part of the event calendar not only for Waygate Technologies, but also for the entire CT user community. For us as the host, the open exchange and joint learning with our customers and partners as well as other international experts is definitely the greatest benefit,” said Ludovic Milosevic, General Manager Radiography Systems at Waygate Technologies and Chairman of the Forum. He continued: “Additionally, we look forward to celebrating the 25th anniversary of our Phoenix X-ray and CT product line this year.”

Manifold Program with Presentations and Workshops

On the first two days of the event, the conference section will provide insights into a wide range of applications. One highlight will be the introductory keynote speech by Dr Roger Herger, CEO of maXerial AG, on ‘Applications of AI in Modern Industrial X-ray CT Technologies’. Other presentations will cover innovations in the areas of automated defect detection, 3D visualization of CT data, high-energy CT, battery cell inspection and applications in the aerospace and electronics industries as well as additive manufacturing. This will be accompanied by a small exhibition of partner companies with hardware and software solutions for computed tomography.

The third day will focus on practical experience with a guided tour of the Waygate Technologies plant in Ahrensburg and in-depth system and software workshops. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the latest technologies at first hand during practical demonstrations and various hands-on tutorials. Partners such as Volume Graphics and Thermo Fisher will present their solutions at dedicated exhibition booths.

Exchanging Experience and User Knowledge

Participants at the event traditionally come from a wide range of industries and professions, from materials science and research and development to quality control in the production process and asset maintenance and servicing. The forum thus offers plenty of opportunity to learn out about practical applications and the latest technologies, to exchange ideas, and to network. Registration is now open.
