Marposs Aquires German Company MeSys To Further E-Mobility Strategy
Marposs Group has recently announced the acquisition of MeSys, a German company specialised in non-contact, radiation-free measurement systems for very thin and flexible flat materials. MeSys GmbH was founded over 30 years ago and since its beginning the goal has been to develop and manufacture simple, effective, reliable and safe on-line and off-line measurement systems.
Through this operation, Marposs aims to become an increasingly important player in E-Mobility by complementing its portfolio of technologies for the automotive industry with specific new applications for the production of electrodes and separators used in lithium-ion batteries.
By leveraging the devices developed by MeSys, Marposs will be able to expand its range of solutions dedicated to the battery cell production process and consolidate the strategy that has allowed it to become increasingly competitive in the E-Mobility sector, especially due its advanced systems for testing automotive electrics and battery pack, module and cell durability and seal resistance.
