Micro-Epsilon has announced that its scanCONTROL 30xx laser profile scanners now offer 5 times higher performance based on new firmware V53. The exposure time has been optimized which enables significantly faster 2D/3D profile measurements.
The new firmware V53 for the scanCONTROL 30xx laser profile scanners is now available for download and means a 5 times greater performance for profile and 3D measurements. The software features a Sensitivity function in order to reduce the laser scanner exposure time by up to 80% which enables dynamic 2D/3D measurements. The laser profile scanners still provide maximum precision combined with reliable acquisition of measurement data.
The new firmware version offers 5 sensitivity levels which can be individually adapted to the respective application. This parameter is directly selectable in version 6.7 of the scanCONTROL Configuration Tools and in 3D-View 3.7. In 3DInspect, it is directly available as a GenICam parameter. The maximum profile rate remains at 10 kHz.
scanCONTROL 30xx laser scanners are among the highest performing profile sensors in terms of their size, accuracy and measuring rate. They provide calibrated 2D profile data with up to 7.37 million points per second. Their profile frequency of max. 10 kHz enables precise profile measurements in dynamic processes. The high-resolution sensor matrix offers a resolution of 2,048 points with an ultimate point distance of just 12 µm allowing even the finest of details to be detected reliably.
