Status Metrology Expands Portfolio with Kreon Portable Arms and PolyWorks Software
Status Metrology Solutions, a UK provider of CMMs, metrology software, and calibration services, has announced a major expansion to its product portfolio with the addition of Kreon portable measuring arms and PolyWorks software.
This development means that Status is now a UK distributor for the full Kreon portable arm suite, including the flagship Onyx and the proven ACE models. The move reinforces Status’s position as a complete metrology solutions provider, offering customers even greater choice and flexibility for 3D measurement and inspection.
“This next step for Status marks a major milestone in our mission to offer the most complete and flexible metrology solutions in the UK,” said Dean Tillett, Managing Director of Status Metrology Solutions. “By introducing Kreon’s innovative portable arm technology alongside PolyWorks software, we are giving our customers even more capability, choice, and confidence in their inspection processes, whatever industry they operate in.”
Kreon Portable Arms
The new Kreon Onyx and Kreon ACE portable arms deliver ISO 10360-12 certified accuracy for both tactile probing and 3D scanning.
- Onyx offers premium-grade performance with 6- or 7-axis flexibility, ergonomic lightweight design and wireless operation.
- ACE delivers fast, reliable 3D measurement in a more accessible package, designed for everyday use without compromising accuracy.
Both systems enable engineers to improve inspection speed, enhance accuracy, and capture high-quality data across a wide range of parts and sectors.
PolyWorks Software for Portable Arms
To support the new Kreon product line, Status is introducing PolyWorks software an industry-leading universal 3D metrology ecosystem. PolyWorks enhances inspection, analysis, and collaboration across portable arms, scanners, and CMMs.
Within the portable arm environment, PolyWorks allows users to streamline workflows, improve digital traceability, and accelerate decision-making. It will be offered exclusively as part of Status’s portable arm software suite alongside Zenith.
Status Metrology is also expanding its training services to include PolyWorks and Zenith software. Delivered by qualified in-house specialists, these courses will help engineers at all levels build confidence, improve productivity, and maximise the value of their metrology equipment.
