Eurotek Strengthens Kreon’s Metrology Portfolio

Kreon Technologies has strategically expanded its metrology offerings by adding Eurotek, an established specialist in Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), to the Kreon Group.

Based in Northern France, Eurotek brings to the table over 20 years of experience in industrial measurement. The company has built its reputation on delivering high-quality services in CMM programming, on-site dimensional inspection, equipment installation, and retrofits. Eurotek serves a broad spectrum of sectors including automotive, aerospace, and industrial manufacturing – industries where measurement accuracy and process reliability are paramount.

Synergy Between CMM Retrofits and Laser Scanning

The collaboration comes at a time when many manufacturers are looking to extend the lifespan of their CMMs through retrofit programs, while also incorporating advanced scanning capabilities for greater data richness and flexibility. Eurotek is well-positioned to carry out such upgrades, now with access to Kreon’s portfolio of scanners and retrofit technologies.

This synergy allows customers to transform traditional tactile-only CMMs into hybrid measurement systems capable of handling complex geometries, freeform surfaces, and high-speed inspection tasks.

A Step Forward in the Digital Transformation of Metrology

As manufacturing becomes increasingly digitized, metrology providers must offer not only hardware expertise but also support for software integration, data workflows, and traceability. The Kreon-Eurotek partnership reflects this shift—blending traditional measurement know-how with modern, digitally driven inspection methods.

This partnership highlights how collaborative networks are essential in today’s metrology landscape. By uniting equipment manufacturers with expert service providers, companies can deliver turnkey measurement solutions that are both flexible and scalable to meet the evolving needs of smart manufacturing.

Investing in a used CMM from Eurotek provides a cost-effective alternative to purchasing new equipment, with savings ranging from 30% to 50% less than a new machine. The company provides a diverse selection of refurbished, high-quality CMMs from established CMM brands. Depending on the reconditioned machine, a rigorous refurbishment is carried out, which may include new software or new electronics. A warranty is systematically associated with guaranteeing reliability and performance, with no compromise on accuracy. Eurotek proposes services like installation and on-site training to facilitate seamless integration into existing workflows.

Eurotek is accredited according to standard ISO-10360-2 for the verification of all brands of CMMs and within the scope of accreditation as defined under numbers 2-5463. This internationally recognised standard is used by most CMM manufacturers to qualify the performance of their machines.

Eurotek is also accredited for the verification of measuring arms according to the ISO 10360-12 standard, but also according to a unique method called ACTED (Arm CMM confirmation by Tetrahedron Device) technique. This method enables on-site verification of measuring arms, requiring minimal space and being achievable throughout the day, and it avoids equipment downtime.
