Wireless 3D Scanning System Enhances Inspection Capabilities Across Manufacturing Workflows

The KSCAN-E combines portability with top-tier performance, bringing together quad-cross laser technology, a high-speed 180-fps frame rate, and a built-in computing module to deliver a fully wireless 3D scanning experience. With 6 powerful scanning modes, the all-in-one solution enables users to perform ultra-fast scanning, large-area measurement, fine detail capture, deep-hole inspection, and photogrammetry-based large-scale analysis with accuracy and efficiency.

The KSCAN-E excells in high-precision 3D scanning, delivering non-destructive inspection capabilities across a wide range of industrial applications. It offers an accuracy of 0.020 mm, and achieves volumetric accuracy when paired with reference tools of 0.015 mm + 0.015 mm/m using an 800-mm scale bar and 0.015 mm + 0.012 mm/m with the L15 photogrammetry system. This level of precision ensures consistent, reliable results for demanding measurement tasks.

Engineered for speed and productivity, the KSCAN-E features quad-cross laser technology that dramatically accelerates point cloud generation. With 4×27 blue laser lines, a rapid 180-fps frame rate, and a measurement rate of 8.29 million measurements/second, it enables users to complete scans faster without sacrificing accuracy making it perfect for fast-paced industrial workflows.

Designed to capture even the most intricate features, the KSCAN-E comes equipped with 17 parallel blue laser lines and high-performance industrial cameras that deliver a resolution of up to 0.010 mm. Combined with ‘DefinSight’ real-time meshing, the system ensures detailed and clear capture of fine features such as narrow gaps, sharp edges, and small slots with exceptional clarity.

Large-Scale Application

To ensure precision in large-scale applications, the KSCAN-E integrates an adaptive photogrammetry system that eliminates cumulative errors and maintains high volumetric accuracy. It also supports target optimization through scale bars, and features infrared large-area scanning with 38 laser lines, a maximum working distance of 1.5 meters, and a scan area of up to 1440 × 1000 mm, significantly reducing the need for reference markers.

Capturing Fine Details

When it comes to capturing small, intricate features, the KSCAN-E excels with its hyper-fine scanning mode. Leveraging precise blue lasers, it delivers high-resolution scans of complex geometries like gear teeth, injection molds, and engraved surfaces making it ideal for industries that demand the highest level of detail.

Hole & Edge Inspection

KSCAN-E streamlines the inspection of holes and edges with high-precision grayscale recognition, making it easy to measure features such as holes, slots, and contours. It supports both laser-based and grayscale measurements, ensuring reliable results for stamping parts, irregular edges, and other complex components. For hard-to-reach or deep features, the KSCAN-E offers a deep-hole scanning mode equipped with a single laser line. This function allows users to capture detailed 3D data from challenging areas such as engine cylinders, internal grooves, or confined cast part geometries without requiring disassembly or manual measurement.

Fully Wireless

Built for true mobility, the KSCAN-E delivers a completely wireless scanning experience. With a built-in computing module, dual-cycle battery system, and dual WNIC design for fast, stable data transmission, users can perform 3D scanning in any environment with no cables, and no computer.
