Trescal Accelerates Global Expansion with 14 Strategic Acquisitions Worldwide
Trescal, a global leader in calibration and metrology services, has announced the completion of 14 acquisitions across Europe, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas, significantly strengthening its international footprint and technical capabilities. These transactions collectively add more than €50 million in annual revenue and approximately 800 skilled employees to the group, reinforcing Trescal’s position as the world’s largest independent metrology services provider.
Across Europe, Trescal continued to deepen its technical specialization and sector coverage. In Portugal, the acquisition of a legal metrology specialist enhances Trescal’s compliance and regulatory service offerings. In France, the group expanded its dimensional capabilities through the addition of a 3D measurement services provider, responding to growing demand for advanced inspection and verification solutions. In Spain, Trescal strengthened its presence in highly regulated industries by acquiring a company specializing in equipment qualification for the life sciences sector, while also expanding calibration services for the aeronautics industry. In the United Kingdom, the acquisition of four laboratories propelled Trescal to the position of market leader, further consolidating its leadership in one of Europe’s most mature calibration markets.
A major milestone in Trescal’s global strategy was its entry into India—its 34th country of operation—through the acquisition of a leading domestic calibration laboratory with facilities in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. This strategic move enables Trescal to immediately offer NABL-accredited calibration services in one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing manufacturing ecosystems. The Indian expansion is particularly significant for multinational customers seeking consistent, high-quality calibration services across global production sites.
Trescal also reinforced its coverage throughout the Asia-Pacific region. In South Korea, the company acquired a state-of-the-art temperature laboratory, expanding its expertise in thermal measurements critical to advanced manufacturing and electronics. In Australia, Trescal added a specialist in scales and balances serving the life sciences sector, while in China, the acquisition of a calibration provider operating five laboratories significantly strengthens Trescal’s capabilities in aeronautics-focused calibration services.
In the Americas, two acquisitions further enhanced Trescal’s leadership in flow measurement, with a particular emphasis on supporting the energy sector in Brazil. These additions align with the group’s strategy to develop deep technical expertise in high-value, safety-critical measurement domains.
Commenting on the expansion, Trescal CEO Guillaume Caroit said: “With our entry into India, we can now provide clients with the same level of calibration service there as they receive in Europe, the Americas, and the rest of the Asia-Pacific region. We will continue this pace of global expansion, with two new market entries already planned for 2026. Trescal has the technical expertise and infrastructure required to meet our customers’ needs worldwide.”
This latest wave of acquisitions underscores Trescal’s long-term strategy of combining geographic expansion with targeted technical specialization, enabling the company to support increasingly globalized manufacturing and quality assurance operations with consistent, high-precision metrology services.
