Nikon Launches Enhanced Microscope Portfolio

Nikon Corporation has launched new ECLIPSE microscope models, the LV150NA LED, LV150N LED, and MA200 LED, to strengthen the company’s comprehensive range of industrial microscopy solutions. Following the LV100N series announced in March 2025, the new models use a high colour-rendering LED light source and improve maintainability.

The ECLIPSE LV150NA LED and LV150N LED are upright microscopes designed specifically for reflected illumination, with accessories selectable to suit observation method and purpose. The MA200 LED is an inverted microscope with reflected illumination that is ideal for inspecting industrial parts and utilizing for research and development.

Key Features include:

Improved Maintenance: The newly developed high colour-rendering LED light source upgrades brightness, colour, and colour rendering properties compared to the existing halogen source, extending lamp life from 1,100 to 50,000 hours. For the MA200 LED, space efficiency is improved by incorporating the LED light source into the microscope stand, reducing footprints by up to approximately 100 mm.

Enhanced Usability: The microscopes offer high scalability through the compatibility of accessories between old and new products. Existing accessories can be used with the new microscopes providing extensive expandability with a wide range of accessories.

Nikon Corporation (Nikon) introduced the new ‘Digital Sight 100‘ digital camera for microscopes in early December 2025. The Digital Sight 100 can be used in combination with full line-up of industrial microscopes and measuring microscopes. The digital camera offers high-definition, high-level color reproducibility, and an efficient workflow from viewing, recording, and sharing information, through the combination with Nikon’s NIS-Elements software. The Digital Sight 100 is expected to be used in a wide range of industries where users will be able to take high-quality images and smoothly share information.

NIS Elements LE provides a streamlined environment for routine microscopy imaging on Windows PCs and tablets. It supports USB and wireless (Wi Fi) connections for flexible device setup and offers all essential tools for everyday work: camera control, calibration, overlays, annotation, graticules, and basic measurement, along with convenient image and video sharing features. Designed for smooth integration with Nikon’s DS10, DS100 and DS1000, it enables a modern, mobile, and user-friendly imaging workflow right out of the box.
