Maximizing Assembly Quality through Advanced Process Monitoring Software

Kistler has expanded the capabilities of its maXYmos process monitoring platform with the introduction of maXYmos Analyzer, a PC-based software tool designed to unlock greater value from production data. The software enables efficient analysis, visualization, and documentation of measurement curves captured by maXYmos process monitoring systems, supporting both real-time process optimization and detailed post-process evaluation.

Joining and assembly processes, including press fitting, precision joining, riveting, clinching, and caulking, are critical manufacturing steps across sectors such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, and medical technology. These applications demand high levels of process stability, quality assurance, and traceability. Kistler’s combination of electromechanical joining systems, high-precision sensors, and intelligent process monitoring supports automated, repeatable, and resource-efficient production. Within this ecosystem, the maXYmos product family plays a central role in ensuring process reliability and consistent quality.

Force-Displacement Monitoring: Turning Data into Insight

To extend the analytical potential of force-displacement monitoring, maXYmos Analyzer serves as the final link in the measurement chain. The software allows users to evaluate stored measurement curves from process-monitored operations, such as pressing a bearing onto a shaft, to identify irregularities and deviations. Curve bundles can be analyzed to reveal trends and anomalies, while statistical process control (SPC) indicators including Cp and CpK are automatically calculated to support objective process assessment.

Visualizing and Evaluating Measurement Curves

Built on Kistler’s jBEAM measurement data analysis platform, maXYmos Analyzer is optimized for production-focused data analysis. Users can zoom, compare, filter, and evaluate measurement curves either immediately after individual production steps or across longer production periods. The interface is designed for intuitive use, enabling rapid identification of deviations from target values and contributing to a reduction in defective parts.

In addition to curve analysis, the software supports interactive key performance indicators (KPIs), statistical evaluations, and trend analyses. These capabilities provide a data-driven foundation for informed decisions on process optimization and continuous improvement.

Completing the Measurement Chain

With maXYmos Analyzer, Kistler extends its dynamic measurement technology portfolio to include advanced data analysis, delivering a complete, integrated measurement chain for joining and assembly applications – from sensors and process monitoring to software and electromechanical joining systems.
