Loop Technology Expands Automation Solutions to North America
UK Based Loop Technology recently announced the launch of Loop Technology US Inc., marking a significant step in the company’s international expansion. Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, the new entity is strategically positioned to provide the US market with full access to Loop Technology’s suite of products and services.
Founded in 1998, Loop Technology Limited has spent the past 27 years building deep expertise in machine vision, motion control, and industrial robotics, earning a reputation for quality, integrity, and professionalism. The US expansion represents a continuation of that legacy, bringing advanced manufacturing solutions closer to North American customers.
“We have been considering expansion into the United States for several years, and now it feels the time is right. I love the American approach to technological development alongside the desire to succeed. I am really looking forward to strengthening existing relationships and building new ones in America” commented Alun Reece, CEO of Loop Technology US Inc.
Accelerating Composite Manufacturing with FibreLINE
The new US presence will provide greater access to FibreLINE, Loop Technology’s revolutionary automated system for ultra-high rate composite preforming. Originally developed for aerospace parts manufacturing, FibreLINE’s capabilities extend to other industries, including drone production and wind turbine fabrication, offering a faster and more efficient approach to producing complex composite structures.
Robotic Machining with Pioneering Accuracy
RoboMACH is a highly accurate robotic machining system designed to automate milling, trimming, cutting, and drilling operations across aerospace, automotive, architectural, and construction industries.
Traditionally, machining large-volume items has required investment in large-capacity machine tools. RoboMACH offers an alternative: a flexible system capable of machining large and complex components with exceptional precision. It can shape and refine cured carbon fibre panels for aerospace and automotive applications, wooden beams and frames, plastic components, engineering foam, sand-casting moulds, and metal components.
Equipped with a 6-axis robot, RoboMACH performs precise drilling, milling, cutting, trimming, and ultrasonic machining operations. It can also be supplied as a fully CNC-controlled system with CAD/CAM interface, making it suitable for high-precision industrial applications.
Additional features include automatic tool changing and optional rotary axes, making RoboMACH a highly versatile and cost-effective machining platform. Using ikCAM technology, it can achieve up to 10 times higher precision than standard robots through ‘as built’ kinematic correction. The system is controller-agnostic and can be retrofitted to existing machining cells.
Laser Cleaning Systems for North America
US customers will also benefit from easier access to Loop Technology’s laser cleaning systems, including LoopCLEAN for automated laser cleaning. The company is supported in North America by its Missouri-based partner, Adapt Laser, to deliver these systems and services efficiently across the continent.
Loop Technology US Inc. aims to become an active participant in the growing US robotics and industrial automation ecosystem, which is set for significant growth in 2026 and beyond.
