Originally launched as a robotically enabled 360-degree vision system, PIQuE employs 3D laser triangulation and deep learning models to identify surface defects such as scratches, dents, missing components, and barcode errors. The newly introduced inline design removes the robotic manipulation component, instead delivering PIQuE’s surface inspection capabilities in a streamlined configuration that integrates directly into production lines for fast, accurate inline inspection.
The new option highlights the platform’s adaptability to a wide range of production environments and quality control requirements. While optimized for inline operation, the system retains PIQuE’s advanced AI-driven inspection features and 3D laser triangulation technology, ensuring consistent accuracy and reliability.
Powered by EZ Automation’s EZ Eye vision processing framework, PIQuE leverages pretrained AI models for rapid deployment and intelligent automated inspection without extensive setup. Its adaptive learning functionality enables the system to automatically adjust to surface variations and product inconsistencies, continuously improving inspection performance over time. This self-refining capability reduces false rejections and supports consistent quality standards.
