A new level of inspection using pattern projection lighting is available from Keyence. The CV-X/XG-X Series system lighting incorporates pattern projection from eight light sources capable of accurately capturing target appearance and using lighting adjustments for stable detection of difficult-to-spot variations. 3D imaging enables stable detection with the addition of height data and the system allows Inspection of small and large parts with two light sizes, 125mm and 250mm.
High-intensity LumiTrax™ lighting is offered for 2D image processing with pattern projection lighting for 3D image processing. Multiple stripe patterns are projected at high speed, integrated ultrahigh-speed CMOS sensor and processor analyse the light reflected from the targets in real-time to generate 3D image. A new capture method generates shape (irregularity) images and texture (pattern) images via analysis of multiple images with directional lighting. A maximum of 212 captures with a single trigger are possible (when using pattern projection lighting).
Included software numerous proprietary algorithms, such as LumiTrax™ Capture Mode, Auto Teach Inspection, point and click measurement tools enabling stable inspection without influence from surface conditions or variations between good parts.
