Quantum Video Measurement System Incorporates Real Time Lens Distortion Correction

Ash have announced the introduction of its new Quantum multi field of view video measurement system at the Control Expo. Quantum utilizes RTLDC, an advanced algorithm that corrects lens distortion in real time on a live image. The result is consistent measurements across the entire field of view and unprecedented multiple field of view ranges (FOV) without changing lenses.

Quantum is a fully integrated measurement system with no PC required, is easy to use offering an efficient 2D video measurement system. Advanced digital image processing technology and unprecedented multiple FOV ranges reduces measurement time and eliminates operator variances.

Real Time Lens Distortion Correction (RTLDC) eliminates the distortion inherent in all lenses. Rather than correct distortion through optics, Ash has developed a digital solution whereby Quantum uses advanced algorithms to make corrects on the live image resulting in consistent measurements across the entire field of view. RTLDC eliminates lens changes to achieve multiple fields of view.

Quantum provides ‘AshCal’ Auto Calibration of every zoom change. Each magnification level is factory calibrated saving time re-calibrating after every zoom.
