Optical Metrology To Take Center Stage at Control 2020 Quality Assurance Exhibition

As probably the world’s most important business platform for industrial Quality Assurance the Control Exhibition in Stuttgart, Germany draws international market leaders and this year runs from from 5 to 8 May 2020. The event has long been a driving force for the German, European and international Quality Assurance markets.

In 2020, the EMVA (European Machine Vision Association) will hold the Control Vision Talks as a forum for optical measuring technology and image processing for the fifth time. Subjects to be covered include 3D image processing, optical metrology, computed tomography (CT), and spectral imaging which will be prominently featured at the EMVA Presentation Forum in hall 8, and will deal with fundamentals as well as new technologies.

Next Level Quality Assurance

The issue of quality assurance permeates all production processes in all industries. The organizers of the Control exhibition are keeping pace where transformation and quality improvement are concerned, and are advancing to the next level with cutting-edge product and service offerings which provide users with new approaches and comprehensive, genuine solutions to all problems related to industrial Quality Assurance. Users from all industry sectors will find the right equipment for zero-defects production at Control – from mechatronic measuring technology and industrial image processing solutions right on up to robot-aided, digitalized QA solutions. The trade fair introduces digitalization to routine daily practice and makes it possible for users of test technology to conduct closed-loop data exchange in networked processes.

Technology Transfer Program

The event will also feature a supplementary program held by the Fraunhofer IPA that will deal with “Trends in Quality Assurance – Digitalisation, Automation and AI in Practice”. Demonstrations will offer insights into how concepts involving digitalization and automation can be applied in practice including image and signal processing, as well as artificial intelligence methods including machine learning.

Contactless Measuring Technology

A special event on “Contactless Measuring Technology” will also be held by the Fraunhofer Vision Alliance and will present the latest developments and technologies in the field of contactless measuring and test technology.
