Mapvision Strengthens European Presence & Wins EV Business

Mapvision, the in-line inspection technology company based in Helsinki Finland, has announced its expanded operations in Central Europe. With local subsidiaries in Germany and Czech Republic, the company will serve its Central European customer base of leading automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

Central Europe is one of the most important automotive production clusters globally, and many of Mapvision’s key customers are located in the area. So far, Mapvision has succeeded in building its customer base with strong and stable relationships with Central European customers from its Finland based operations.

The new subsidiaries and local teams will provide project management, installation and service capacity to the existing customers as well as for new partnerships and projects. The sales organization will initially include two dedicated sales managers for the region based in Germany, and in Switzerland the latter focusing on France and Italy.

Mapvision also announced recently it has received an order from a major global tier 1 automotive manufacturer to supply them with an industry leading in-line measurement system. The Mapvision Quality Gate 4200 system will be used in the battery tray manufacturing for an EV production for a premium OEMs.

Quality Gate 4200 will allow the manufacturer to measure all parts in-line and all key features within their production cycle time. Reliable and accurate real-time quality data will speed up the start of production and support in adjusting the line to meet the quality and safety requirements set for the parts.
