Inspect Tracker Connects Inspection Data With Virtual Digital Twin

Radix, Inc. has announced the release of their vision inspection technology, Inspect Tracker.

Inspect Tracker is an integrated, vision-based system, to automatically record and map defects during part inspection using a simple, handheld pointer.

Inspect Tracker is virtually ‘hands free’ as the inspector moves from identified defect to defect with the Inspect Tracker stylus. Inspect Tracker identifies defects and maps a complex part surface. Voice commands are used to identity defect type, which is translated to a completely digital record of inspection data.  Data points are precisely located with vision algorithms, mapping the data points on a virtual part model, or ‘digital twin’. Inspection Tracker is easy to use and fast allowing the inspector to focus on the part quality assessment.

Support for Industry 4.0 with digitization of data for manufacturers was the impetus behind the development of Inspect Tracker.  In particular, the requirements for detailed inspection procedures for complex part surfaces, currently hand inspected in florescent penetrate inspection, or FPI booths was the opportunity for digitization that Inspect Tracker was designed for.

Inspect Tracker features include Statistical part analysis, defects reporting, part inspection time, cost to repair, user statistics, defect analysis & failure mode frequency with heat mapping, part analysis and traceability.
