July 23-27, 2018 | Reno, Nevada, USA
The annual Coordinate Metrology Society Conference (CMSC) event sponsored by the Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS) in USA was established in 1984, with the five-day conference held each year at a different location, and attracting visitors from around the globe. CMSC is renowned for its comprehensive program of technical white papers and presentations given by industry experts from science/research laboratories and leading manufacturing industries.
No other industry event rivals the high level of authoritative information provided by CMS members and master users of metrology instrumentation, software, and peripheral equipment for quality control, quality production, and precision assembly and metrology-aided alignment.
Paper submissions were extremely high this year and the continued single-track format will allow attendees to sit for all of the presentations during the day. Attendees will still have plenty of time to tour the Exhibition Hall where exhibitors will be demonstrating the latest and greatest technology, software, training, and services. As we welcome traditional coordinate measuring machine (CMM) operators for the first time, the presentation content will include many papers on CMMs, their applications, and crossover software which can also be used on portable measuringdevices.
The Education Zone will be packed with technical updates from organizations including NPL, NIST, ASME, ASTM, and NCSLI. New this year in the Education Zone will be “The Showcase of New Technology.” Q & A sessions allows original equipment manufacturers to present on the latest releases of new innovations in technology and software. Back by popular demand will be the fan favorite “Ask the Expert” and “Metrology Jeopardy.”
This year, the CMS is proud to provide attendees at the CMSC with many new and exciting experiences, starting with a brand-new website featuring new information regarding the show and a comprehensive agenda, including the Exhibition Hall layout and excited to be adding an extensive archive of technical papers presented throughout the years, which can be referenced and downloaded online by all CMS members.
