Nel PreTech (NPC), a lab accredited contract dimensional inspection for computed tomography, has announced that it will be offering private, hands-on CT demonstrations at their Tinley Park, Illinois laboratory.
The program, called First Fridays offers a limited number of one on one sessions with NPC CT engineers to take a deep dive into the world of computed tomography and learn the benefits it has specifically for their applications. Because the sessions are private, confidentiality can be assured while learning the specific CT applications that apply to the participant’s project. There is no cost to the participants for the sessions.
John Hayes, the NPC sales manager, states “We wanted to create a comfortable learning environment where design engineers and quality managers can come in and ask specific questions that apply to their everyday work. We believe that providing our expertise and a few hours a month of our CT scanner time can help educate the manufacturing community on this underutilized resource.”
Dave Nelson, President of Nel PreTech added “The advances in CT over the past 10 years have allowed manufacturers to broaden the scope of their inspection abilities. CT is a game changer in solving complex problems and helping bring products to market faster.
Sessions will last about an hour and will include a scan of a part provided by the participant. Our CT engineer will interrogate the data in real time and demonstrate other features of CT including color maps, porosity analysis, failure analysis, and wall thickness.”
