The new V7 version includes enhanced new capabilities and performance improvements that further set apart the universal 3D platform as the most versatile and powerful software suite in the industry. Among the major improvements included as part of this major release are:
- Virtual World 3D inspection planning and programming based on the Metrologic Silma offline programming product. collision detection, collision avoidance as well as automatic path creation and optimization are now available for CMM and robot inspection programming.
- Point Cloud acquisition and inspection with additional device interfaces as well as new features aiming at efficient handling of large point clouds and processing with the utmost accuracy.
- Automation and Robot inspection with the integration of many new devices and Robot controllers, including various Collaborative Robots direct interfaces.
- Metrologic have also ensured that existing users of X4 will find many new features in V7 that will help their day-to-day inspection needs when using Metrolog and Silma.
Metrolog X4 is compatible with more than 100 metrology devices using one single interface allowing a common metrology software to be implimented throughout a manufacturing environment.
The offline version, Silma X4, is compatible with any DMIS based software, offers collision detection, automatic path generation, the ability to create the complete work cell and to run the program in real-time, for 100% program reliability verification.
