5 Axis Optical Inspection Solution Generates Point Cloud Inspection Data

Ginolis, an innovative provider of assembly automation and quality inspection solutions, has announce the launch of its Pixie, system for automated optical quality inspection.

Ginolis Pixie can be used to inspect a wide variety of medical device and diagnostic components, including difficult to measure colors and materials, such as glossy, matte and transparent surfaces. Measurement possibilities are dimensions in 2D/3D and visual defects such as spots, impurities, scratches, air bubbles, voids and foil continuity. Pixie can be configured with 2 to 5 servo driven axis movement and the high-speed measurement capabilities make it suitable for inline and stand-alone solutions.
